There is nothing to hand over
Why we can say it that plainly
The site is a static export — a folder of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files on a web host. There is no application server, no database and no form endpoint anywhere in it. The calculation runs in your browser, so the amount and the rate have nowhere to go even if we wanted them.
That is deliberate, and it is a constraint we intend to keep. Collecting personal or financial information would put this site inside the FTC Safeguards Rule and India's DPDP Act, which is a serious undertaking and not one to wander into for the sake of a signup counter.
What our host sees anyway
Any web server that answers a request sees the request. Our hosting provider serves these files and, like any host, may keep standard server access logs — typically the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. We do not add anything to those logs, we do not analyse them, and they are not linked to anything you typed, because nothing you typed was sent. They exist because HTTP does.
The typefaces are served from Google's font infrastructure at build time and self-hosted in the export, so loading a page does not call out to a third party for them.
If that ever changes
The paid property-exit service, when it exists, will necessarily hold documents and correspondence. That will be a separate system with its own written terms — not a feature added to this page — precisely so that everything said above about the free checker stays true. Our other site, ethicsend.com, runs a waitlist form and therefore has its own, different privacy statement.
The specific questions
Do you set cookies?
No. The site sets none, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. This was checked against the live response headers in August 2026 rather than assumed from the code, and it is re-checked if the hosting configuration changes.
Do you use analytics?
No. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, no session recorder and no error-tracking SDK. The honest cost of that decision is that we cannot tell you how many people use the tool, and we would rather not know than measure it by watching you.
What happens to the amount and rate I type in?
Nothing leaves your browser. The arithmetic runs on your own device, in JavaScript that is published as source. There is no request carrying those numbers, because there is no server to send them to — the site is a set of static files. Reload the page and both fields are empty.
Is there an account, a login or a saved history?
None of the three, and none is planned for the free tool. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to delete.
What if I email you?
Then we have your email, in a mailbox, like any other correspondence — your address, whatever you chose to tell us, and our reply. We keep it while it is useful to the conversation and we do not add it to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Do you sell or share anything?
There is nothing to sell. No data broker, no advertising network, no affiliate tracking, and no third-party script on the page at all — even the web fonts are downloaded at build time and served from this site rather than fetched from someone else's server while you read.
